Alien Abduction
Crop Circles
PERSONAL NOTE
We extend our love and blessings to all. For those
of us who are searching to better understand ourselves and our place
in the world the question often arises, how do I deepen the meaning
of my life? For us the best answer has come through doing our best
to reach out and discover our unity with all of humanity. We have
found the practice to be challenging, allowing us to understand,
tolerate, and transform our differences with those who at first
appear unworthy of our compassion and understanding. In reaching
out we have found that without exception we are confronted with
those who we may find difficult, those who seem to disrespect our
sense of morality, ethics, or approach to life, or those who just
appear different from us. How do we welcome these individuals and
keep our hearts open to love? It is in this struggle to understand
and respect others where Monica and I have come to understand ourselves
better. Over the years we have often thought that one of the best
ways to expand ones ability to embrace difference is through adopting
a child of a different race, ethnic group, or handicap. We suspect
our world would have less hatred and more genuine love if more people
considered this possibility.
One experience I would like to relate is a time when Monica
and I were setting up for a book reading at Barnes & Noble in Berkeley,
California. We were arranging the chairs, time to start was approaching
and I noticed few were in attendance. I was concerned and lost in my thoughts.
At this time a handicapped person who was confined to a wheel chair came
up to the front where we were preparing and started feebly flailing at
a board attached to his chair. Immediately, he was a distraction and I
questioned in my mind what he was attempting to do. I looked at the board
attached to his chair where there were twenty-five or so different messages
typed out in small print, and then at him. He was a sight, huge cascades
of mucus hung from his nose while dribble foamed at the left over dinner
around his mouth. It seemed every body part was misplaced like an amateur
assemblage all heaped together in an inanimate clump. He clearly suffered
from some form of cerebral palsy. My first thought was how can we gracefully
move him to the back of the room and out of the way. The sight of him
made me uneasy, his appearance was difficult to take in. It seemed a good
bet if I was having this trouble those who came to see us would be experiencing
something similar. What to do? Briefly, I paused and attempted to understand
what he was trying to communicate, but my attention was elsewhere and
I was unable focus enough to determine the code he was using and soon
lost interest. But I noticed he kept pointing to our pictures up on a
poster that informed Barnes & Nobles patrons we were giving
a talk at 7:00 P.M. A lady in attendance finally started paying attention
to him and indicated he was saying something about the store, but I couldnt
be bothered as I was more worried about who wasnt there than who
was there. But try as I may I couldnt get him out of my mind. Suddenly
it hit me, he wasnt trying to be an interruption, he was attempting
to facilitate more people coming to our talk. Nothing on his message board
was designed to communicate specific communications only generic requests
had been typed on his board. So he was earnestly struggling to communicate
with us, and unmistakably insistent. He pointed to our pictures, then
to his board where he hit more and people. Then
I put it together. He was saying if we put more signs around the store
we could get more people to our talks. I was astonished. A wave of shame
and embarrassment flushed through my being followed by immense admiration
and compassion. Here was a human being burdened with circumstances most
would find incomprehensible if not unlivable. Even with his disheartening,
nearly hopeless situation he was more concerned about our poor turn-out
and doing his utmost to find a solution than he was about his appearance
and inability to communicate. Although not intent on being an interruption,
that was indeed what he became. Wake up! Open your mind! Every human being
is a blessing! Never again will I underestimate a human beings capacity
to be a contribution to my life, nor avoid my willingness to contribute
to them.
A message can offer innumerable thoughts. Thinking back
over time the wisdom thats made the biggest difference in my life
was a simple, but life altering comment. A master of spiritual and intellectual
acclaim I heard speaking to a group of students once said, I asked
myself if circumstances were such that I only had time to tell you one
thing what would I say? Without hesitation this would be my statement.
Whatever you decide to do, whether you are a doctor, a homemaker, CEO,
janitor, or teacher decide to be happy in what ever you are engaged in
doing. This and this alone will make the biggest difference in your life.
Your stature, circumstances, and position in life are not as important
as they might seem, but your decision to be happy regardless of where
and what you find yourself doing can alone determine the quality of your
life. It seems to me Monica and I met such a person at our talk
back in Berkeley.
ALIEN ABDUCTION
On a totally different front we would like to express
some opinions for your thought and reflection. We are at times regarded
as people somewhat inclined towards fantasy, so these opinions might contradict
what you could expect to be our position. There are many urban myths,
misinformation, and outright hoaxes perpetrated on society that slow the
clear thinking, honest person from evolving their spirits and thought
process, and in general muddle the public conversation. Much of the present
public conversation around alien abduction in our mind falls into this
category. So we urge those of you who passionately disagree with these
thoughts to put them on the back burner temporarily and take the time
to do some unbiased research through the back quarters of libraries and
the less frequented corners of your mind.
In our book and throughout the enclosed gallery we have
presented many forms of alien intelligence, both of the inter-dimensional
and galactic variety. Clearly we believe in the existence of alien intelligence
in our universe, but we would like to publically state that we believe
strongly that the reports of alien abduction are simply not true. We suspect
many of the people stepping forward with these assertions are genuine
and believe they are experiencing what they relate to researchers and
the world, but are mistaken about how their experience is actually taking
place. One can experience overwhelming lucid events in deep sleep that
are virtually indistinguishable from waking experiences. The realness
of emotions can seem absolutely evidential, but strong emotion and intellectual
belief do not provide sufficient proof. There are clues to alert the true
scientific researcher regarding the believability of abductions and when
it comes down to providing actual physical evidence there is nothing that
withstands the scientific testing. All that remains is the biased testimony
of the abductees. An investigation into abductees as a whole reveals many
gender identity problems, sexual dysfunction, dysfunctional family backgrounds,
and broken lives. Those treated by a therapist often involve therapists
who believe in alien abduction or therapists who have implemented improper
use of hypnosis to introduce corroborating experiences to bolster the
abductees claims. In the end, a great number of the alien abduction symptoms
can be explained as sleep paralysis. Those who are claiming scars, missing
fetuses, or implants do not present the proper medical documentation to
make a strong case. We have obtained this information that supports our
thought from the book, The Abduction Enigma by Kevin D.
Randle, Russ Estes, and William P. Cone, Ph.D. This is a terrific book
and thoroughly investigates the alien abduction phenomenon. We suggest
if you have interest or questions regarding the phenomenon to read this
book.
CROP CIRCLES
Another issue surrounding alien intelligence is
the crop circle phenomenon. Many years ago through spiritual sources
we received that the crop circles were a hoax and there was no evidence
of alien involvement. The stories started back in 1978 when people
in England began seeing unusual images carved into the wheat fields
of the rural landscapes. They were soon ascribed to alien intelligence
like many other things that we cant seem to explain. Carl
Jung suggests this approach is one of the ways the subconscious
deals with fears a person cant integrate into their consciousness.
He says its the way of the subconscious in dealing with the
fear of nuclear war for instance. The subconscious simply uses the
psychological rumor of a UFO to address what is unfathomable and
too intimidating to confront. Anyway, in 1991 Doug Bower and Dave
Chorley revealed that one night back in 1978 after a few pints of
brew they decided to stomp a few images into the wheatfields. Some
thirteen years later they fessed-up. But as theological sociologists
have discovered, disconfirmation can often lead to strengthened
belief. So it has been with the crop circle phenomenon. Colin Andrews
who has been defending the notion that alien intelligence has been
responsible is now saying that 80% of the circles are man-made and
the other 20% are unaccounted for, and more likely than not of alien
origin. But there is another faction that has taken up creating
crop circles as an art form and call themselves the circlemakers.
Check out www.circlemakers.org
which has been created by John Lundberg and Rod Dickinson who are
two practicing circlemakers. They insist that all the crop circles
are of man-made origins, always have been, despite Colin Andrews
insisting 20% are of unknown origin and likely the product of alien
magnetic energy.
